What is a Virtual Assistant?

A Virtual Assistant is your on-call administrative assistant.  We are your secretary that doesn't need a desk at your place.  We're on call - when you need us and at your service.

R-meg VA can increase your productivity, give you back your time and save you money.  We transcribe dictation, sort and process email, do call-backs and follow-ups, purchase ordering, document creation, writing, proofreading and editing, scheduling and so much more.  We can also maintain your social networking sites and blogs. Who can use a VA?

Any individual or business that has more work than time; anyone who needs an administrative assistant or an extra pair of hands can benefit from a VA.


 
What documents can you process?


We process proprietary documents such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Publisher, Adobe Acrobat PDF, as well as Open Office, AbiWord, GNUmeric and many more.


 
How do you take a letter?

The fastest most efficient way is to give us a call and leave your dictation on our dedicated voice mail system.  Alternatively, you can also send us your jobs by email or fax.  We use optical character recognition software (OCR), can work from disk or CD/DVD.  Whatever works best for you works for us.

 
How do I get my work back from you?

The most effective way is usually by email or fax.  However, this will always be determined by what your actual finished product is.  If your finished product cannot be sent back to you electronically, it will be delivered back to you by snail mail or courier as quickly as you need it.
 

 
What is R-meg VA's turnaround time?

Our customary turnaround time is 24 hours for transcription tasks, letters and the like, but this is subject to change dependent on what your needs are and the scope of your project/job.  Jobs involving greater volume will be evaluated and the timeline will be discussed with you and agreed upon on an individual basis.  We pride ourselves at R-meg VA in meeting or exceeding your deadlines.  "Rush Jobs" are available on request and have a turnaround time of 4 hours.  Please contact rosem@rmeg.ca if you have any, require more information or to Request a Proposal.



 
What is the cost?

Our customary fee is $35.00/hour + disbursements**

Our "Rush Job" fee is $50.00/hour + disbursements**


We also offer retainer billing:

10 hours for $325.00 ($32.50/hour)

25 hours for $750.00 ($30.00/hour)

50 hours for $1,375.00 ($27.50/hour)

**A disbursement is any cost over and above the actual time it took to create your job.  For example, if we produced and bound a report for you, the disbursements here may be the tabs, binding combs, card stock or special stationary we used to produce the report.  It could also mean copying costs, postage or courier expenses.  These costs will be discussed with you in advance and estimated as accurately as possible.
